Daywall privacy policy
Last updated 30 October 2026. Daywall is made by Onibaku (admin@onibaku.co.uk).
Where it runs
Daywall runs entirely on your tablet. There's no Onibaku account and no Onibaku server. The only network traffic is to the iCal links you add (straight to your calendar provider) and Google Play's own billing service, used to check and make the one-off purchase.
What it uses
- Your calendars. With your permission, Daywall reads the calendars synced to the tablet (for example Google, Outlook or Exchange accounts) to show their events. It only reads them; it never changes them, and the events aren't copied anywhere else.
- iCal links you paste. Daywall downloads each link from your calendar provider and keeps the latest copy on the tablet, so the wall still works when the Wi-Fi drops. The links themselves are secret addresses: they're stored on the tablet only.
- A photo folder you choose. For the screensaver, Daywall reads images from the one folder you pick in Android's folder picker. Photos aren't copied or uploaded.
What it stores
Your settings, the names and colours you give each calendar, chores and ticks, meal plans, the shopping list and whether you've bought Pro are kept on the tablet only and are excluded from Android backups. Clear everything by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it.
Payments
Pro is bought through Google Play, so Google handles the payment under its own privacy policy. We receive only the anonymised sales reports Google Play gives every developer.
What it doesn't do
- No account, sign-in or contact details.
- No ads, analytics, crash reporting or tracking SDKs.
- No location, contacts, microphone or camera access.
