Executor’s Cashbook
Estate accounts and deadlines for executors handling probate themselves in England and Wales. List what the person owned and owed, record every payment in and out and what each beneficiary receives, keep track of the Inheritance Tax dates and pension-scheme letters, and download estate accounts that balance to the penny.
Assets and debts
Everything at its value on the date of death, with estimates marked, and pensions paid outside the estate kept separately.
Money in and out
Link each receipt to the account it closed and each payment to the debt it paid; gains, losses and expenses are worked out.
Deadline board
The Inheritance Tax payment date, the IHT400 date, four-week chase dates for every letter, and your own reminders.
Pension letters
A plain letter asking a scheme what was held and what’s payable, ready for the April 2027 Inheritance Tax change.
Estate accounts PDF
Capital, income and distribution accounts, a reconciliation to the cash held, a schedule of every payment and space for signatures.
Stays on your device
No account and no server holding estate data. Back up to a file, or send an encrypted copy to a co-executor.

Getting started
- Open cashbook.onibaku.co.uk and start an estate with the person’s name and date of death, or open the sample estate to look around.
- Add the assets and debts, write to the pension schemes, and record money as it comes in and goes out.
- Record what each beneficiary receives, then download the estate accounts. Download a backup after each session.
Pricing

Privacy and terms
See the Executor’s Cashbook section of our privacy policy and terms. Executor’s Cashbook keeps records and makes documents. It isn’t legal or tax advice, and it’s for England and Wales only.
Troubleshooting
- My estate has disappeared: it lives in the browser you used, on that device. Check you’re in the same browser and not a private window, or open your latest backup file from “Share and back up”.
- The accounts don’t match the bank: check every payment is recorded, and that money in from closing an account is linked to that account on the register.
- Lost your key: open the estate, click the pass button and use “Lost your key?” with the email you paid with.
