Keyrain privacy policy
Last updated 28 October 2026. Keyrain is made by Onibaku (admin@onibaku.co.uk).
Where it runs
Keyrain runs entirely on your phone or tablet. There's no Onibaku account and no Onibaku server. The only network traffic is Google Play's own billing service, used to check and make the one-off purchase.
What it uses
- MIDI files you choose. When you import a file, Keyrain copies it into its own storage on your device so you can open it again. It's never uploaded.
- Your MIDI keyboard. Keyrain listens to the notes you play to check them against the song. The notes aren't recorded or stored.
What it stores
Imported songs, your best score for each song and whether you've unlocked the app are kept on your device only, and are excluded from Android backups. Remove an imported song with its Remove button, or clear everything by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it.
Payments
The unlock is bought through Google Play, so Google handles the payment under its own privacy policy. We receive only the anonymised sales reports Google Play gives every developer.
What it doesn't do
- No account, sign-in or contact details.
- No ads, analytics, crash reporting or tracking SDKs.
- No microphone, location, contacts or camera access.
