Questions

Where does the data come from?

From Find a Tender and Contracts Finder, the Cabinet Office's official services for UK public procurement notices. The notices are published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Onibaku isn't affiliated with the Cabinet Office or any buyer.

How often do emails come?

Once a day, in the morning, with everything published since the last email. Days with nothing new that matches don't get an email.

Which regions are covered?

The whole UK: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, by nation or by English region such as London or the North West. A notice matches if the buyer is in your region or the work is delivered there, and you can choose whether to include contracts that cover the whole UK. Smaller contracts in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are often published only on Public Contracts Scotland, Sell2Wales or eTendersNI, which aren't included, so there you'll mostly see larger ones.

What are CPV codes?

Common Procurement Vocabulary codes are the numbers buyers use to say what they're buying. 72000000 is IT services, 45000000 is construction work and 85000000 is health and social work. You can give just the first few digits, so 72 covers all IT services. They're optional: keywords on their own work fine.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

Yes. Cancel any time from the link at the bottom of any email, and you keep getting alerts until the end of the month you've paid for. If it wasn't useful, email admin@onibaku.co.uk within 14 days of a payment for a full refund of that payment.

What do you store about me?

Your email address and your filters, and nothing else. Payments are handled by Stripe, so we never see your card details. We use your email only to send your alerts and reply to you, and delete your details when you cancel.
