Accurate to the cent
Pegbox uses the McLeod pitch method and is tested against synthetic strings with harmonics and room noise, reading within a cent.
Steady on low strings
A longer listening window kicks in for low notes, so bass E (41 Hz), drop tunings and a 5-string's low B read steadily instead of flickering.
Auto or one string
Pegbox picks the string you're playing, or tap a string to tune just that one. Each string gets a tick once it's in tune, and you can play a reference note for any of them.
Private
The microphone is analysed on your phone as you play and only while Pegbox is on screen. Nothing is recorded, stored or sent anywhere.

Tips
- Tune up to the note. If you're sharp, go below the note and come back up: strings hold their pitch better that way.
- Bass and low strings: pluck firmly and hold the phone near the instrument. Pegbox needs about a fifth of a second for the lowest notes.
- Noisy room: tap the string you're tuning so Pegbox ignores the others.
